Biophysicists' dinner

At the beginning of each semester, the biophysicist dinner usually takes place. Biophysicists from different semesters as well as other students, who are interested in the topics, are welcome to take part in the lecture. Professors from (usually) three different research areas (biology, chemistry, physics) give a short 15 minute presentation about their research projects to get a glance in what they're actually doing and whether it's possible to join the group for his/her bachelor/master thesis. Afterwards, drinks and food is provided while everybody has the opportunity to get in contact with the professors and other students.

Examination office

To apply yourself for oral and written exams you have to take part in during your study time, a personal file has yet to be created. This has to be done personallyat the central examination office. Successful registrations and your grades can be viewed via the self-service function of the Central Examination Office (only accessible via the university network or via VPN).

For practical courses (biology, chemistry and physics)you may have to register additionally at the 'communication- and informationsystem' website (KIS) where you can create your own timetable and the opportunity to find all lectures, which will take place during the winter or summer term. This information is usually given during the lectures.

! Attention:

When you have registered yourself for the 'Bachelor Biophysics' you have to register yourself for the practical course of the lecture 'plant physiology' even before the lecture has started. For further information, contact us via mail.

Examination regulations

In the following, examination regulations (prüfungsordnung) and study guide (Modulhandbuch) can only be found in german.

Timetables

Timetables can be found in the KIS. After the selection of the current semester, the Biophysics course is registered under the subject areas Biology, Chemistry and Physics (in each case the entry Biophysics Bachelor/Master). Some lectures are unfortunately only listed under one of the three faculties.
A timetable for the first semester Bachelor Biophysics can also be found here(german).
